Sugar Glider Safety

For New Sugar Glider Breeders

Nutrition

Nutrition

In the wild, sugar gliders have a wide variety of foods to choose from. To be certain that your sugar gliders are getting what they need, you must also provide variety. A multitude of foods and proper vitamin supplements will contribute to a long life. While many believe that a diet mixture of fruits is enough, IT IS NOT!! Gliders are omnivorous, they must have more.

A proper mixture ratio of fruits & vegetables to protein is between 50-55% fruits and veggies to 45-50% protein sources. It has been observed that sugar glider in the will choose a diet higher (up to 75%) in protein if it is available.

It is ESSENTIAL that you research all the diets and choosse the one that works for you and your gliders. Please visit the Message Board for more information on diet and nutrition, as this controversial topic has new information all the time!
